Starcraft Starmate SD Tent Trailer

This is a 1988 Starcraft "Starmate SD" pop-up tent trailer. We bought it in 1990 and have kept it in good shape. It is an older trailer, but it is not a project. You can buy it today and camp in it tonight. If you're tired of sleeping on the ground in a tent, you will love this. You should be able to click on the pictures to get a larger view.
....

Price is $1200 (cash only). Look around at what other tent trailers are selling for on Craigslist and you won't find anything else in this size, in this kind of shape, for the same money.
...
It sleeps 5 adults (really). Two 50"x70" slide-out beds and one 39"x68" bed that converts into a table and benches. The canvas is in great shape and does not leak. There is also a BRAND NEW canopy the hangs over the doorway side that hasn't ever been set up. By itself, this is a $200 canopy.

There are no mechanical defects I know of, just light wear. We have never cooked in it and do not have the original stove, but all the gas lines and hook-ups are still there. It also has an electrical converter that we have never used (we didn't stay in RV parks).

In 2000 we noticed that the roof was getting soft in places. We lived near the Starcraft plant in Indiana, so we had them completely replace the roof assembly and the interior countertops at a cost of over $1600 (have receipt). The crank-up roof system works flawlessly.
...
There is a small crack in the crank-up dome, which I fixed with epoxy putty. It looks ugly and I always planned to replace it, but it is water tight and solid, so I never got around to it
...
It is easy to tow and connects to a two inch ball. I have wiring for both a standard 4 way and a 6 way connection. If you have the proper hook up the interior lights can run off the car battery. The trailer comes with a newer 20# propane tank (currently not connected to the gas lines trailer). The fire extinguisher was new as of last year.

...

The trailer comes with a water tank (about 7-8 gallons). The sink has a pump handle and you can connect a pressure water line on the side (again, we never did this). There is no gray water tank, simply a drain. You need to replace the washers in the pump handle every few years.

It is about 14' long when closed and 18' long when opened. The interior height is 78". Tires are in good shape. I repacked the bearings about two summers ago and have put only a few miles on her since, but it is about time to have them checked. It’s an easy job and the bearing themselves are only about 7 years old.
...
There is lots of storage. Look below and you see several cabinets and open space under the benches.
...
I did not lower the front door, nor zip up and tighten all the canvas when I took the pictures. Just know the door works fine and the canvas is tight all around.
