1983 Toyota Landcrusier Wagon FJ-60 for Sale

1983 Toyota Landcruiser Wagon FJ-60
~216,000 miles
Price: $750

This is a bit of a project car. I haven't driven it on the road for 2-3 years, but when last driven it ran well. It had major work done on the top of the engine about 20,000 miles ago. As you might expect with a 26 year old car, there is lots of minor issues that need some attention and wear that is normal in a car of this age. It isn't just a parts car, but I would want to spend some time in working on it before I took it out on the road or into the hills.

I have been in lots of 4x4s over the years and this was the best off road vehicle I ever drove. When it was young, it was a beast.

The worst element of the car is rust. This is common in older Landcruisers, but make worse by six years in Michigan with road salt covering the vehicle every winter. The rear is the worse area, but you will find pockets of major rust in many places on the car.

You should be able to click on each picture below for a larger image.

In this picture you can see the worst of the rust. Around the base of the lid and the base of the fold down door. All the Michigan road salt tool it's toll.

Mileage is about 217,000.

The Con-Fer rack needs a new plywood base and has some rust. But it's still in really solid shape and very sturdy.
Yes, it still runs and actually sounds pretty good.

To restate, this car hasn't been driven on the road for 2-3 years. It is un-registered and un-insured, so I can't let anyone do more than drive it around our cul-de-sac.

We do have a clean title. As far as I know, all the major systems of the car work (at least they did), but there are numerous small problems, cosmetic defects, spots of rust, and normal wear and tear on a car that is 26 years old. It is a project car and that fact is reflected in the price I'm asking. The car is being offered "as is" with no warranty offered or implied.
